Dear Blog,

So, right now I am watching Animal Planet and one of those animal rescueing programs and it gets me thinking.... how can we humans be this damn stupid? When I see some of these people, stubborn and convinced that bruises, parasites, cages, tight collars and illnesses isn't a big deal, I just wanna scream! Animals that gets treated with so little care and respect... it makes me sad to know that it's a fellow Homo Sapien that's doing that. Cause, to me, animals aren't just stupid creatures that's below us in IQ and so on... they're our equals, regardless of what science and religion might say. They aren't stupid, they know what's going on. When a disaster is about to strike, the birds fly away, the dogs bark and cower and house animals become frightened. They know what's going on. When humans treat them poorly, they aren't different from kids being bullied either. They grow tough or crack under the pressure too. They have feelings like we humans and I'm pretty darned sure that they speak with eachother like we do as well! IQ points and stuff might say otherwise, but I dont care. Cats, dogs, horses and all other animals are just as smart as we are, they just lack the tools to show it.

What pisses me off the most though, that's when I see a case where people are neglecting monkeys.. out of all animals, we should at least have the decency to treat our closest relatives, our god damned cousins of nature, with some respect! They are so close to us, it's almost scary and yet people uses them for stuff that shouldnt even be possible for humans to do to others. But we do. When I hear of the cruelty we have treated our relatives with back in the days, i shudder in disgust. Experiments?! Entertaintment?! What the fuck?!? I dont get how we can be so fucking self-centered as to think that it is okay to treat monkeys like that AT ALL... or any animal for that matter. I dont mind when people treats them well and researches and maybe do a few tests or take a little tissue... but they aren't just animals. They aren't beneath us in any way. If anything, the animals should be above us with the way we're fucking up our shared world. But for some reason, humans always need to boost their ego with that kind of selfish thoughts. That's human nature in a nutshell.

As my dad would oh-so-wisely say:

Humans are the DUMBEST animal on Earth!
